Top ten poker mistakes.

Help with becoming a better player,
We all like to think we are good poker players otherwise we wouldn't play poker but we all mistakes when playing poker. There are common mistakes that we all make so if we could find out what theese mistakes are surely we could all become better poker players so here I will try to list some of the common mistakes that people make to try to make you a better poker player.

1: Do not play too many starting hands. Play the game tight. If you get bored from folding most of time, then concentrate more on learning about your opponents or, if you are playing online, play multiple tables simultaneously.

2: Do not fish or draw without good odds. Don't call large bets with third rate draws to straights or flushes. That's for the FISH and BAD PLAYERS!

3: Do not call large bets on the river or last card out with marginal hands. This can be very costly, unless you have a very good reason to think your opponent is bluffing.

4: Don't be too passive. Don't give free and cheap cards because you're too scared to bet. Even if you're not sure you're ahead, it is often right to bet anyway. If you're worried about being outdrawn, you should deffinately be more inclined to bet, not less.

5: Don't slowplay without sufficient strength. Don't mistakenly think your good hands are invulnerable. Do not slowplay big pairs pre-flop. Don't give your opponents free and cheap cards unless you're 100% confident you will not be outdrawn, and that you'll earn more chips by doing this.

6: Don't bluff too often. You want your opponents to fold to your bluffs, so bluff very rarely and make it convincing when you do bluff.

7: Don't forget to change playing style. Playing the same way all the time makes it easier for your opponents to read you. Make sure you loosen up in games or hands with less opponents.

8: Don't ignore your position. It's almost as important as your cards.

9: Don't ignore the other players. Make it your mission to watch and categorise their every move.

10: Don't play at too high stakes, or in games you can't win. That's the easiest and quickest way to lose your money.

Try sticking to this and see if it improoves your poker playing ability please keep in mind this is only advice and it's up to you how you play poker and of course there is always the luck factor.
